Transportaion Process

How Working with East Coast Auto Broker as Your Auto Transport Broker Works

At East Coast Auto Broker, we simplify the vehicle shipping process while ensuring transparency and security. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how the process works:

1. Transport Details & Rate Comparisons

We start by gathering all necessary details for your shipment. Our team researches and compares carrier rates to find the best option for your needs. You’ll hear from us again once we identify a potential carrier.

Before we begin, you will receive a customer contract to sign, confirming that you are hiring us as your auto transport broker.

2. Carrier Selection & Rate Agreement

Once we find a suitable carrier, we will review all transport details with you, including:
✔ The carrier’s rate and estimated pickup/delivery times.
✔ A formal agreement on the contracted carrier rate before proceeding.

3. Carrier Verification

Before finalizing the transport, we verify the carrier by obtaining:
✔ A valid certificate of insurance.
✔ Driver details.
✔ A photo of the truck and trailer assigned for your vehicle.
✔ A signed carrier contract agreement.

4. Invoice & Contract Confirmation

You will receive an invoice detailing:
✔ Carrier rate confirmation.
✔ Brokerage fee.
✔ Carrier information.
✔ Photos of the truck and trailer.
✔ A copy of the carrier’s insurance.

5. Payment Options

Choose the payment method that works best for you:

✅ Pay in Full by Card: Pay both the carrier and brokerage fee together once your vehicle is confirmed as picked up. The carrier’s payment will be held in escrow and released upon delivery inspection.

✅ Split Payment: Pay the carrier directly upon delivery and pay the brokerage fee separately. (Notify us in advance if you choose this option so we can ensure the correct contract is in place with the carrier.)

6. Pickup & Transport

Once a carrier is contracted for pickup:
✔ The driver will contact you to arrange pickup timing and call again an hour before arrival.
✔ Upon pickup, verify the driver’s ID to ensure it matches the carrier details on your invoice.

7. Confirmation & Inspection

✔ Once your vehicle is picked up, you will receive an inspection link with photos from pickup and/or a copy of the signed inspection.
✔ The invoice is due at this time.

This streamlined process ensures transparency, security, and a smooth auto transport experience. If you have any questions, we're here to help!
